Model Description
SB—Sand Pump
F—Reverse Rotation (when viewed from the pump inlet, the pump rotates counterclockwise, and the pump outlet is located to the right of the vertical centerline of the pump inlet)
Z—Clockwise rotation (viewed from the pump inlet; the pump rotates clockwise, with the outlet located to the left of the vertical centerline of the inlet)
J—Mechanical Seal
P—Belt Drive
C—American-standard inlet and outlet flanges (ASME B16.5, Class 150)
The model designation of sand pumps also includes three sets of numerical codes, which respectively indicate the pump outlet diameter, inlet diameter, impeller nominal diameter, or the rated power of the matched motor.
Note:
① When the rotation direction code is not specified, the SB6×8 sand pump defaults to clockwise rotation; the SB5×6 and SB4×5 sand pumps default to counterclockwise rotation.
② The SB3×4 and SB2×3 sand pumps have no rotation-direction designation; they operate in only one direction, namely reverse rotation.
③ When the flange designation for inlet and outlet is not specified, the pump’s inlet and outlet flanges shall default to metric standard flanges.
④ When the drive code is not specified, the pump defaults to direct-coupling drive.
If the requirements differ from the default conditions, use a code or textual description.
2. Characteristics
① The pump casing and impeller are precision-cast from wear-resistant ductile iron; the pump casing features a thickened design, and all flow passages are optimized for streamlined flow, resulting in lower resistance and longer service life.
② The impeller features a wide-flow-channel design, which effectively reduces the load on the shaft and bearings, thereby extending bearing service life.
③ A combined sealing arrangement is employed, with high-quality mechanical seals as the primary seal and packing seals as a secondary backup, to prevent sand pump leakage and reduce maintenance downtime.
④ The bearings are from internationally renowned brands, ensuring smooth operation, high-temperature resistance, and a long service life.
⑤ The sand pump shaft seal is grease-lubricated; the bearings are oil-lubricated, with grease nipples on the bearing covers at both ends, allowing for grease lubrication as well.
⑥ The impeller features a anti-loosening design to prevent damage to the sand pump in the event of reverse rotation.
